The 26th annual Southern Women’s show is set to take place in Richmond this weekend. Information about admission and hours can be found here.

Richmond Mom’s Blog was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the show Thursday evening, and let me tell you, this is one event that should not be missed.

The Southern Women’s Show is the perfect place to spend well-deserved time with friends, indulge in some retail therapy, and be entertained by the weekend’s line up on the main stage with artists including country singer, Danielle Eljor, and Keegan Allen, star of the hit TV show Pretty Little Liars. The show will also host over a hundred vendors, ranging from fashion to food to fitness.

This was my first experience with the show, and my expectations were exceeded. I really enjoyed watching the fashion show with local desinger Laurianda Clothing Company, who drew inspiration from the working woman. I also loved the presentation by a Dior Regional Make-up Artist, who demonstrated how to do a complete makeup look in five minutes. (That is something we all can benefit from because that’s about how long many of us moms have to get ready!). I think the entertainment was very well chosen for the event and really caters to a wide array of women- whether student, professional, mom and everything in between.

I was also really impressed with the choice of vendors. I got very excited when I saw the large space set aside for makeup, and the best part is that they will have makeup artists on hand to share their expert advise!

The Southern Women’s show is also offering a special deal on Friday night where admission is only $4 after 4pm. Bring your girlfriends, mom, daughter, neighbors and enjoy a weekend of pampering. (Plus, they have mimosas.)
